The guitar portrait - Photos of a workshop were taken to convey the relationship between my mechanical background and the marriage of music with my labour history. A portrait photo of my bass guitar was then superimposed over with a casual portrait of myself. All photos were taken by myself except for the portrait of myself which was kindly taken for me by Daniel, a fellow student in my course.

Newly wed Portrait
Two of my favorite people got married yesterday, Adam and Bec Metal, and they asked me too make some little wedding cake peeps. Not exactly photo realistic, but its a pretty good caricature.
I used to make a lot of these, after this, I think I will start again.

Portrait - Carolyn Reed
This photo was taken after a trip to the Port Fairy Folk Festival. The little boy was so happy with his face painted as spider man as you can see with this ear to ear smile. I think this is a nice portrait because your eyes go straight to his face because of the bright red face and white eyes. Then your eyes also get taken around the rest of the photo because of the green on the t-shirt and the plant behind him.

Portrait - Chisako Ishikawa
The first portrait appears much better than the original photo. I have manipulated tools to show her face clearly. Her face is in the right position in the frame and I brought brightness, contrast and colour to make her face clearly focused and natural.
With the second portrait the original of her face was not in focus. The background that was in focus I blurred and I experimented with filters to lesson a dark shadow that was across her face.

March - Portraiture
For March the theme is Portraiture - a self portrait or portrait of someone who has influenced your life.
This theme was inspired by it being the month the Archibald Competition is announced and the connection the South West has with the namesake of this infamous competition - Joseph Archibald, the founder of the Archibald Prize was raised, educated and worked for awhile in Warrnambool.
The work can be anything; sculpture, photography, illustration, painting, film etc as long as it can be related back to the topic.
Along with the image we also need:
* Size of work
* Materials used
* And a blurb about the work itself
* Artists name
* The date is was created
* Course enrolled or department teach in
Looking forward to seeing your work!
