This tapestry was inspired by a place called ‘Lake Mungo’. The layering of the earth captures fragments of bone and stone tools from over 40 thousand years of Australian history. As I woven a winged angel and a seated mediating figure became apparent amongst the other fragments. This seemed to reflect modern interest and interpretation of the site.
