My work comes from the story of the 'Lady of the Lake' handing the sword Excalibur to Merlin the wizard.

Nice one Roy. It makes me think of Poseidon but probably because its a great big hand coming out of a stormy sea. The chain is def not Poseidon it makes me think of someone who is weighed down by their "chain" but is still determined to survive. I would have liked to read a blurb about the piece. Do you think you could start adding that to your posts? I'd like to know more about the thought process behind your work and how it relates to the Myth and Legend theme.
This is a place for South West Institute of TAFE students and staff to participate in our monthly art collaboration/exhibition. You don’t need to be doing an art course to participate.
We pick a topic, you guys make art. It can be anything; sculpture, photography, illustration, painting, film etc as long as you relate it back to the topic.
Why? A better question is 'why not?' Cuttlefish is great way to exhibit, expose and generate feedback for your work. What better way to improve than to do more?

Hey Roy! I was looking at this post of yours and noticed that there is a great big sword. Reminds me of the Lady of the lake! Funny that.
